Wifo Farm Equipment Ltd. was established in 1967 by Wytze Anema.
The real start of the Wifo Company however, was six years earlier in Ferwert, a small village in the north of the Netherlands.
The now famous 3 point hitch loader was the decisive factor in the success of the Wifo Company. After the loader many other machines
were developed and sold in various European countries.
In 1967 Wytze decided it was time to expand to the North American market and in Paris, Ontario, he found the ideal location for
the second Wifo Company. The 3 point hitch loader also proved to be a big success in Canada, succeeded by 3 point hitch forklifts,
pallet carriers, chisel plows, bale handling equipment, etc. These implements are all manufactured in Paris. Various box rotators,
hydraulic produce buckets (potatoes, onions) all purpose feeder buckets and 3 point hitch weighing systems are imported from the
Netherlands.
Since the late eighties the Wifo products are also being distributed in the United States.
